The Myanmar junta launched airstrikes on Singaing village in Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region, at around 10 pm on 16 March, killing four civilians, including an infant, and injuring seven others, according to Shwebo District Battalion 15.

The attack occurred despite the absence of any active clashes in the area. Those killed included an 85-year-old woman, an 82-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman, and a six-month-old baby, said Lieutenant Kauk Yoe, commander of Shwebo District Battalion 15.

“Two jet fighters dropped bombs twice, with a three-minute interval between strikes. Two bombs landed near residential houses in the village. The attack deliberately targeted civilians, even though there was no fighting,” said Lieutenant Kauk Yoe.
